Default 100 Octane Gas On Boost?

I have a 99 Civic Si W/a B16a2 with about 170 Miles on it not 170K just 170 miles
. I recently got a new engine from honda because mine blew anyways Im sorta scared to put my turbo on because of reliability and because im gonna run the blue box on it. So I was thinking will 100 octane help out. I wont push it hard ill just drive normal im just saying will it help because its located like a mile away and its about 550 a gallon so thats about 55.00 dollars a tank and ill use that up in about 2 weeks. So will it help my engine life because im only gonna run about 5-6lbs of boost. Oh check my sig for mods.

Hmmm. Doesn't the blue box run really rich? You should be safe with only 5-6 psi and 93 pump gas. Retard your timing 1 degree if you're really parnoid until you can get an AF reading on the dyno or standalone.

Umm why? With such low boost you don't need to switch to higher octane hell you can get by with pumpgas on 20psi. It's all in tuning. I'd just run you premium blend, and save the money for a build-up.

That must suck! In Illinois at every "Gas City" gas station there is 100 octane. There is at least 5 within a 1/2 hour of me.

Damn i'm moving. But seriously i think you did something wrong. You should be able to run on pump gas, even 91, at 5-7 psi.
