Default -10 fuel feed and stock feed as return?

I'm trying to cut some costs because the car is getting closer but my funds are getting tighter. You think the stock feed line in a civic is too small to act as the return line? On the return line, I've always been told to just go one size smaller than the feed but it should be fine to go two sizes smaller right?

Read this a while ago from the Evans tunning site, Ive done this before and had no problems.

Up to 500hp .344" hose or -6 A.N

500-700 hp .437" hose or -8 A.N

900-1100hp .562" hose or -10 A.N

Let it be noted that the stock Honda lines are -6 A.N feed and return. There is no need to upgrade the return line to the fuel tank. If 500whp level is your goal a simple upgrade to -8 A.N from the fuel tank to the fuel filter is all that you'll need. A great place to purchase a feed kits is:

Let it be noted you are wrong... On almost every count you cited.

1st. OEM feed is 5/16 Which if you tried to equate it to an an size would be -5.. and in actuality its a hair smaller than that even... The return is smaller yet. its closer to a 1/4 inch line (Which is still big enough a retutn for a -6 feed and a walbro 255HP/044 fuel pump combo)

You in NO WAY have to upgrade feuel lines in ANY respect to make 500... I made over 600... You need only upgrade pump. There are other people in this thread (AND A GRIP MORE CUMULATIVELY) that are making over 600 on STOCK 5/16" lines...

Dont parrot something off an internet site if you dont know what youre talking about, and its evident you dont.

If you don't upgrade your lines, would one of the risks be running high fuel pressures that take the injectors out of their efficiency range? Assuming the regulator couldn't be adjusted to compensate of course.

For what its worth, our Sunfire runs -6 feeds and returns with stock rails. Making about 1100whp. Mech. pump, dual -6 feeds and -6 returns.
