Fuel return line size?
I am working on my fuel system and I have a question about the return line. Goal is approximately around 450-500 whp. Is the stock return line on my 2000 civic hb sufficient enough to be the only return line? I am going to setup the aeromotive 1000hp pump, regulator, 75lb injectors, etc.
Thanks, JAson

i would personally use -10 fuel feed and -8 for your return line for your setup. this setup should be able to produce from 800 to 1000 hp. anyone correct me if i am wrong.
I used a -8 and -6 line respectively, and i run a similiar setup to yours, or the one you are trying to assemble.. I didnt use the stock lines, but rather an -8 feed from the pump and a -6 return from the rail. that should be sufficient enough for your designated HP goal.. good luck
I'm also running a 8AN feed/6AN return system. Using the aeromotive pump, fpr, filter, GEM rail, and RC 550's. It works well. I think 10AN feed/8AN return is alittle too much for your needs.
You could probably use the oem return line and a SS feed line. In my case the extra cost to run full SS lines for both feed and return (compared to SS braid on only the feed) was not unmanagable. I ran full SS braid for both lines. Good luck

stock is fine. when you decide to run over 500-525, go with the 10 feed and 8 return.

-10 and -8 would probably support over 1000 HP and is way bigger than you need. -6 and -4 should support over 600 HP easy. You can always use a larger return...it can't hurt but it can help prevent pressure from building in the return.
