02 Sensor housing bypass/or internal to external WG...
I may be peicing together a turbo system and was wondering about a product I saw. It is designed for DSM's but I'm sure could be rewelded to work on a civic application.

this item looks as if it would have the internal wastegate flapper shoot directly out, thus improving flow greatly and possibly converting to an external gate? How does this work? Anyone have any info?

Im not an expert but it looke like a simple exhaust flange
with a 02 bung for ease of o2 install, a nice flange for downpipe
mating, and a nice flange for an exteral wastegate..
nothing too high tech there..

People have been using that type of outlet in Japan for years. Since the flapper valve is retained you will still have an internal w/g. What you will have it is an exhaust side that flows a hell of a lot better since the exhaust flow will no longer get contaminated when the flapper valve opens!
We call it a "shitgate" since it makes noise like an open external w/g.
