Default 00 eating distributors.

im posting this in forced induction because it seems to be the most technical section on this forum. i have a 2000 si that we put back to stock. it had a big turbo kit and was converted to obd1. we put all the stock stuff back on, and now it is burning up distributors. we reused the same distributor that was running the car b efore and it will fire the injectors but wont make spark. then we used another known good distributor and it sparked for about 10 seconds of cranking, then stopped. still fires the injectors just like the other one, but it wont make spark. we replaced the igniters in both distributors and the coils in both distributors but they still wont make any spark. has anyone ever seen anything like this?

Any CEL? My guess is the ICM. any ignition issue ive ever dealt with has always been the ICM or MSD product..lol

if you wanna run stock again, i think you should convert it back to obd2 and use a obd2 distributor.

you do know they are both the same with the exeption of the plastic connector plug

sounds to me like some type of bad wiring.
