[Bay Area] Cheap 100 Octane Gas WoodSide Road 76 Station
***CLIFFNOTES*** 76 Gas station at woodside road is accidently sellling 100 octane as 91 octane. It's only at the pump where you can get 91, 100, 87 octanes. So basically 100 octane for $2.03/gallon END CLIFFNOTES
I almost always get gas from this 76 gas station on woodside road. Lately, my bike smells like it has race fuel coming out of the tail pipe. A very distinctive smell if you know it. I've also been running a tad lean as well with no explanation.
Turns out that the 76 station must have switched pumps or something. If you go to the station, there is one pump where you can choose 91, 100, or 87. I always put in 91, but they must have accidentally switched it or something.
So to test my suspicions, I went there again tonight and filled up with what i thought was 91 octane at the regular pump.
NOw, from what i hear, the 100 (unleaded) octane from 76 is also nicknamed "smurf gas" because it's blue.
So i fill her up, and at home...shine a nice flashlight in and guess what..it looks like blue koolaid in there. Yes my bike is blue...but i don't believe they paint the insides of the tank blue..and i've never noticed having blue gas until now!
Just an FYI for those that care. ALso, They charge 2.03 for premium and $6.XX for the 100 octane.
I think i might go down there iwth a gas drum and fill her up

I suggest you read my post again?
Then you will see that it is no prank. I tried to purchase 91 octane gasoline (payed 91 octane price) but instead recevid 100 octane "smurf gas".

yo i just came back 10:34 the station i went to hopefully was the same one as it did have 100 octane and was on woodside. it was 2.03 for 91 and 4.something like 4.199 or something like that for 100.
i had two tank things to make sure that the 91 had cool blue.
I filled up on the left side and it wasn't cool blue it was real clear like regular gas and i felt that the left side ran on the same container but went on the right side just to make sure and filled up with 91 and it was also clear and I know how cool blue looks like because ive bought it before. but just to make sure i bought 100 octane also and you can clearly see the difference. I went home and made sure in the light that 91 wasn't cool blue. So I dunno maybe they changed it or maybe i went to the wrong one im not sure im not saying this guy is a liar or trying to start any beef. all im doing is warning you guys to watch out.

Re: (zad5)
Hey man.
Yeah. They might have changed it already..who knows.
I went to my bike this morning, syphoned out the gas and it wasn't clear. It was a green/bluish color. I poured it into a white cup and that's what it looked like.
I know how race gas smells coming out of the tail pipe as well as how it looks.
Thanks for the heads up though.

I hope so for that much $...
In miami no one sells high octane unleaded gas, but I can get 100 octane leaded gas for $2.15/gallon
