*St00pid tuned stock Turbo Ls: 1 bar*
I finally made my desicion to make the trip to houston to have Jason tune my car. Overall im extremely pleased with the Results.
Here's a little info on the Setup
97 b18b 79k miles
Precision sc34 .63 a/r
Precision Fmic(small one/350)
Inline Pro mani
2.5-3" Revhard/Tony1 Downpipe
3" exhuast/n1
Hondata 2b
550cc Rc injectors
Walbro 255 intank
Stock motor
Stock intake manifold
Stock clutch aka slipping clutch
On 1 bar 14.5 psi the car made 271/253. Max timing at full boost was about 17, a/f was around 11.8. Peak torque is @ 5100 RPM, Peak hp is at about 6200 rpm.
As you can see the car was tuned to make descent power, nice torque and be reliable.
Everything worked out great for me because Im not looking to do what everyone else does and try to make 400 hp and run 11's
All i wanted was a fast reliable 12 second integra
Also my hesitation between 2200-2400 rpm is now gone. The car drives great, every once in a while it has a small cut in 5th gear, but we think my thermostat is bad or thier is an aftermarket thermo on the car, because of the cold engine temps.
Just to add a little excitement to the post I'll tell you guys about my ls1 kill I didn't even hit full boost until 2-3 hours after I was tuned. I didn't know what to expect so I wanted a clear flat road to go 100%. Anyways It was me Direp972, and my girlfriend cruising as a black SS pulled up next to us and jumped at us. I smiled, and nervously downshifted to 3rd gear. We pulled 1-2 cars through 3rd gear, and pulled another 4 cars in 4th gear. Shut it off and just smiled as the SS caught back up and did a ricer fly by
Thanks Jason, Chris and everyone else that went with me and supported me. I would recomend jason to anyone, he is a standup guy and takes alot of pride in his work.

Re: *St00pid tuned stock Turbo Ls: 1 bar* (B17aTrbo)
just make sure that when you do the rolling runs that after you've pulled ahead of them enough....
that you hit your brakes a few times to let him know that you know you won and are purposely slowing down...
that way it defeats the purpose of his ricer fly-by if they see you in the future and try to come back at you saying they passed you when you fell flat or something like that.
you'll be able to come back and say, "no, i hit my brakes because I was done outrunning your p.o.s."

That is an assload of torque but doesnt is seem like the HP number is a little low? Great setup and nice numbers anyway

why? that doesnt make sense, thats running it less efficient
good torque numbers, but timing is a bit too conservative

The torque curve on this car is beautiful. I still can't believe how bad you pulled that SS. my old set up never pulled an SS like that. Im proud of your car Iggy, and I think its faster then the hp # would imply. I know alot of people are going to look at the HP # and say things like "I thought it woulda been higher" but torque is what accelerates you and most people forget that. Congrats man. all that is left is a clutch and then you'll be "done."

Yeah mase the timing is definetely not aggresive, there is still plenty of power left in it. Hybridcivicls-t tuned the day before me, similar setups, similar boost and he made about the same torque #, but made like 20 more hp than me. I called him last night to see what his timing was, and he said 22 as opposed to my 17. Direp972's old setup #'s were also at around 22, so I know its "super conservative" but im happy with the results.
What I may do, is get my clutch, an intake manifold, hit the dyno again, and maybe go a little more agressive on timing to squeeze another 10-15 hp out of it.

yeah, there is no reason to run overly conservative timing, you're not helping anything out. you're just losing power
anyways, good luck with it

Car has power steering, a/c everything, full interior, only weight reduciton is I removed rear bumper support. My plans are a little more different than most here in FI. My goal was to go fast and look really nice doing so. I will keep full interior but my next project will be to "tastefully remove about 50 lbs". I am doing this tastefully because my plan was to build a fast street car, that is nice enough to put in shows like Jspek
Ill post pics and the dyno chart tonight when i get home
