Default **stock fuel pressure 50 p.s.i??!?**

on my car i have all stock fuel (pump, regulator, no fmu ) i have 450cc injectors with the vafc hack, i put a b&m fuel pressure gauge on cause i have a fpr i was gonna throw on there but my fuel pressure is at 50 psi at idle and whe i pull of the fpr vacuum line it goes up to 55 psi?!? wtf? what could cause this? and when i turn the car off the fuel pressure gauge will drop to 0 over time, does this mean i have a leak somewhere???

and my car isnt running that great on the hack i had to put my settings at -50% at 1000 and -45% at 2000 then -40% the rest of the way.....if i didnt put the 1000 rpm setting like that it would idle really low! are these settings bad??
PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!!!
thanks!

Fuel pressure at idle is:

B18b - 31 to 36 psi

B18c - 38 to 46 psi

this is with the regulator vacuum hose attached.

what could be causing mine to be at 50 psi???
the small cap on the passenger side of the fuel rail with the plastic cap and the little screw inside that screws onto the end of the fuel rail....the plastic cap is missing off that......will this hurt anything?? the screw inside might have been adjusted?!? could this mess anything up??
thanks!

if you have a stock pump, all stock lines and stock fpr then nothing should cause that. maybe the gauge is off?

It read low with the inline pump because you had it after the guage. I don't know why your pressure would be so high unless your FPR is fucked. I don't think that plastic thing will do that, I believe that is just a damper or something. Mine is at 46psi at idle if that makes you feel any better . I have a Walbro pump though. Your AFC settings make sense with that much pressure, I would suggest putting a different FPR on and see if that helps.

Oh btw, your fuel pressure should drop to 0 over time, you don't have a leak.

Man, you fuel pressure regulator is bad/clogged. It is not bypassing enough fuel. It is also possible you have a crimp in the return line or a clog in the return line.

I would replace the fpr and see what happens.
