Are any of you guys still boosting on stock internals? I have a nice project car which might get a simple turbo set up after I get it all cleaned up. I just haven't heard too much about the tranny

I was running a stock motor from valve cover to pan f22b1 with a custom turbo kit and fuel management when I put 335whp/ 279ft.lbs. down on the dyno.

Also I know Mr. wonderful on here was also a stock motor when he put down over 300whp, forgot the exact numbers... I am sure he will post.

Oh my jebus. I have no idea why I asked about stock internals. That's good to know either way. I originally meant to ask if anybody is on the automatic tranny still? Lol ADD &gt; me

dont run undampened pulleys ever. I know of 4 friends off the top of my head that broke oil pumps with their boosted hondas running ctr pulleys or aftermarket undampened pulleys of some kind.

yeah, it seems the more power your making , the more likely you are to have a pump failure due to the flexing of the crank under power.

i guess the stabilizing weight of the stock pulley keeps the flex down to a minimum at the pump. it makes sense...we've been discussing it for a week and its making us nuts

video of my good run... obviously mines the car that doesnt break.. it was a "street race" night, so no times on the board...

looks like i shifted 1-2 crappy (slow shifting in general)...i need to drive better

you ought to try and get a h22 tranny in there though... as i remember you have valvetrain.... so the increased rpms shouldnr make a difference.

the lower gears make a biiiiig difference in acceleration... a big difference.</TD></TR></TABLE>

the bisimoto kit... i think its the only f-d kit.

makes it fit decently... and the tranies are cheap...and everything is stock mount/tranny wise (except the frame has to be way knocked over obviously)

D trannies ratios are junk too. ick

I'm using a Competition Clutch Stage 4 6puck sprung hub clutch with a Competition Cutch 12lb flywheel. Grabs great so far and I drag race it. There is some evident wear on the disc and some hot-spots throughout, but it does not slip still. I'm going to go with a unsprung clutch disc eventually.

i have the t3 t04e 60 trim .63 A/R. its pretty chill if you keep it in low rpms and i still get like 30mpg but it will get up and go if i get on the gas.

Mine has been off the road for the last year. Its a 93 4door accord. All it needs is a new turbo...
Its a F22a, Darton mid-sleeved, stock 95mm crank, crower rods, wiseco forged 8.8:1 pistons, custom headwork, internally gutted H23/F22 intake manifold, stock throttlebody, 850cc injectors, AEM ems tuned by me, walbro 255 fuelpump.
The turbo that was on there was a 60-1 compressor on a TD06H turbine wheel. And this was using a custom ported dsm turbo manifold, Victory peroformance o2 housing, custom 2.5" downpipe, and only 2-3/8" exhaust.
Trans is an H23 5spd. Stock Diff... All stock suspension on car...
At the track on 12psi it was running consistant 12.7 at 114mph.
At 15psi it was misfiring horribly in the top of 3rd and 4th gears, and i managed a 12.5 at i think 117mph.
Oh, i was also running on a 24.5"x8" MT slick, same as previously... I did not preload anytime... and every run was a 2.1 60ft.... It took me a while to get my electric boost control all tuned in the ems also...
I changed to a different sparkplug and ran 15psi on the street for a while. It was very fast.... Would spin if your in 3rd gear and get on the gas. I drove the car for a few months...
I has issues with headgaskets at this time and another... Ended up running an F23a headgasket. worked great with my 85.5mm bore.. and i used ARP h23 headstuds and havent had a problem since...
I brought the car to the track again... 1st run on 20psi. The car ran rich, 10.1:1 and ran a 12.7 at like 117. It spun every shift... and i was hitting 7k rpm in 4th...
Made some changes to tuning and next pass felt like an 11 second pass... until i hit 4th gear and my oil light came on and my gauge went to 0psi... On my datalog of that run i had hit 120 before passing the traps and letting off the gas... Never got my slip.... and had a broken oilpump. I was running an aluminum crank pulley. Big mistake.... I replaced the oilpump and put the OEM crank pulley back on. My car ran great but everytime i boosted it i got blue smoke... I killed the turbo... The turbine shaft has dark spots and a mushroomed end from 0psi of oil at 20psi.... the bearings did'nt want to come off the turbine shaft... and i managed to bend a compressor fin when i took the cover off. So i bent it back and it broke.... So the my car needs a new turbo and it will be back at the track. I I've just been putting it off for the last year.... I had to put a lot of money into my jeep to get it up to par... I forget how to post pics... I have tons of pics of my ride on imagestation though...

i'm running 12 through a stocker...seems great. really conservative tune, but its maxing out my 700 cc injectors...so its making power. the bottom ends are rather stout from the factory.. at strong a B series IMO. there are stock bottom end B series guys making 400-500 regularly, and a couple over 600 whp. i normally will be running mine at 8 psi though
