Re: What JRSC setup are you running? (hondaeg8)
anyway i could lose power if my timing was set too far back?
any help on where my fuel pressure should be at idle?
gsr motor, p n p head, 3 angle valve job , jrsc with 6psi pulley, timing at 12-13 degrees.
car seems to hesitate a little when just cruising and hitting about 4500 rpms. but if i give a little more throttle in the same rpm range, it does just fine.

hmm, maybe it's time to think about getting it tuned for real

Anyone know where I can get a regular pulley for a 98 gsr jrsc used for cheap, I have this damn 11 psi one and thats more than I want to have...
Someone must have one and a belt around from an upgrade...

I mean maybe it is the 10 psi... I just know that my tuner told me it was pulling 11 ish on the dyno (this is what the aem ems was showing, in the 10-11 psi range) and I thought it was supposed to be an 8-9 psi endyn stepper....
Is the number for the pulley the diameter?

FMU and BTC worked fine for me up to 6 PSI, higher than that and you get busted pistons.

Re: (hondaeg8)
yeh imo u dont really need the btc at only 6psi
and at 8psi with the btc u should be ok
i'd still rather get tuned though..
cuz **** having fuel management thats all hooked up with wires and tubes..
what happens when something breaks or comes loose???
best to have your actual fuel/spark tuned right to begin with.

Re: (rmcdaniels)
Hey you guys are a lot of help. Why dont I just run my set-up past you guys and you guys let me know if it is safe for 6psi. I plan to do the install myself and then take it to a dyno to get the BTC and the FMU slightly adjusted. Let me know if it is overkill.

eeehhh I wouldn't call that tuning,
but adjusting the btc and cartech fmu on the dyno would be the best way to do it.
the stock JR fmu isn't adjustable for how much fuel it puts in,
but rather when.. kinda wierd.. i'd rather leave it stock.

Re: (hondaeg8)
no man,
the only thing that affects boost is the diameter of the pulley
a lightened one just weighs less...
although most lw cranks are also underdrive ones, which means their dia is smaller..
thus LESS boost.
