"whhhhhiiiinnnnnggggg" (noise)
ok I'll explain it briefly:
My engine (B18B1) has just been built (Ross pistons+ Eagle rods) every single gasket is brand new, new oil pump, new timing belt, new rod and crank bearings, BUT I didnt make change the water pump I know it's lame from me but my engine builder told me that it was good, no leaking at all, and I was really short on cash. But now it's been like 500KM I'm driving the car and there's always a funny noise like a strap and it looks like it comes from the timing belt area. The noise is RPM dependant, I can hear it at idle and throughout the whole RPM band. it's like a "winding" high pitch , a strap related noise. it's kinda hard to explain it by words. there's no leak anywhere, so I want to know what could be the cause???
- timing belt too tighten?
-alternator?
-water pump?
-power steering belt?
-anything else?????
please answer me, thanks

Just reset your timing belt tension. Loosen the tensioner bolt, rotate the engine a few degrees, tighten the tensioner bolt.
