Ah the great dilemma of too many options and not enough knowledge. Firstly I am doing a poor man’s gsr. I have a b18c1 block and a b16 head, and I want to boost this motor. Any suggestions on whether I should go with dished or non-dished valves, and standard size or oversize? Thanks!

 

Flat faced valves are never a good choice. Over sized valves is rarely a good choice... unless you are turbocharged and have moderate camshaft profiles.

So, without more information about your specific build... the general recommendation would be standard sized dish valves.

 

Well I just have the head no cams and just a few cam cap bolts. And I am going to be turboing this motor.
