what ecu for b18c?
but how about a rechipped b16a ecu which then removes rev and speed cut and doesnt it allow emanage to take better control?
i would love to get a hondata no doubt. but it also costs about 10 times more than any of the other second hand ecu's that i mentioned.

E-manage can be used, though I would use the Ultimate Edition, if there is an option. It's just not popular here on Honda-Tech. Hondata /AEM tends to rule all, but most on H-T worry about the fun features of the others and don't understand its competency. Even the AEM F/IC has received a lot of flack. E-manage works fine.
Use the stock ECU as intended. the OEM ecu doesn't restrict governor speed, and the RPM rev limit is for your protection. If you possess the hardware to go higher than stock RPM range, then just use the E-manage to control it all. the values are set at 0 as it intends to base its tuning parameters from the ECU, and you can go from there.

hey i got same motor and i went with phearable.net p28 basemap for my motor, then had it tuned in richmond va on crome, that might work for you, $195, 2 days later it was at my door
OEM OBD1 or OBD2A ECU's work for E-manage. Stop this this "chipped" version stuff. Its not relevant to what you need. Yes, the E-manage will control it all to be fine. There are even Adapter harnesses to use so you don't splice into your OEM wiring.

well...the price i got for a brand new o2 was around USD 400. and a chipped ecu costs around USD 150. wouldnt it be better to bypass the auto-settings from the o2 and let e-manage control it though?
