VSS issue needs resolution!
i have a boosted 94 teg. when i bought it the owner told me he was doing an engine swap and cut the vss wires somewhere while dropping the engine in. i never got to find where the wires were cut, and didnt want to trace all the way back through the harness. it is likely on the chassis harness but im not sure. since i got the car, the problem was not bad. if i hit a large speed bump, sometimes the speedo would drop to zero, the CEL would come on and no VTEC. no fun. but i would turn off the car, turn it back on, and it would be fine again. now the problem is consistent, and i have been driving around for too long not boosting bc my CEL is always on from no VSS signal. i tried another VSS as well, nothing. so i want to just rewire the VSS myself, but im not sure which pins on the ecu should be used. i know the VSS signal wire is B10. (i have a p28 ecu) i need a reference voltage signal wire and a sensor ground. does anyone know which pin i have to use for the ref. voltage and sensor ground?? are these specific to the VSS sensor? i need this prob fixed ASAP!!!!
pretty much what i want to know is where does the reference voltage wire for the vss go to? i am not seeing where this wire would need to be routed to because on the p28 ecu pinouts there are separate ref. voltage pins for the tps and map, but no vss.
