using TL866 to burn chip??
Hello. I recently ordered a chip programmer TL866II Plus MiniPro for my chipped Honda's ECU which has the SST 27SF512 chip already socketed. I plan on using crome to create a .bin file to burn with the TL866II software onto my chip. My question is if anyone has had experience with the TL866II MiniPro, and if so, do I need an adapter to read the chip? I know the chip has 28 pins and the programmer host is 40PIN. Is there a way to simply connect the chip's pins to the correct sockets?
I am about to try the same setup... I only want to add a base map to a P28 and get my engine swap up and running so I can drive to a mappers... didnt see the point in spending extra on a full set up as doubt i will try mapping myself.
From what i have read and scene that the chip goes straight into the reader with no adaptor. just put it the right way as per the symbol on the case and also all the way to the end where the leaver is.
How are you getting along with yours ?
