Was your intent to ask about cheaper places on the east coast or just bash on the pricing?

there is definitely a good reason for the higher charge, might include a thorough tune of both full throttle and partial throttle. You should also ask the amount of time they are putting into the tuning. Church charges 300-350 for about 2-2.5 hours but these guys chargin 600 might be spending up to 4-5 hours for that reason to charge. Based on my experience with Church and everyone else I know that have had their car done, he spends the majority of his time tuning full throttle and not much time on partial throttle. If you want him to spend more time on partial throttle, it costs more. So it all comes down to hourly labor. Also another factor can be the type of software you are using, whether its Crome to Hondata to an AEM EMS, obviously the standalone will cost more to tune because it takes more time and specializing.

you are paying the tuner back for spending the money they have spent in order to gain the knowledge they have.

i charge $450 for full street/1 hr dyno and 50 dollars for each additional hour plus dyno fees.

600 for full tuning isnt bad at all if the tuner is actually good.
