Default tuning itbs

ok i was taking to one of are local tuners about putting itbs on my 92 hatch with a c5 swap..he asked me what do i want them for and i said just cuzz i like them and always wanted them...then he tells me that he had them and they are to hard to tune in r area because of the weather.that i would have to have them tuned every hour.then i told him about the guys on honda- tech that have them and have no problems with them.then he tells me that its because they live in cali... what do yall think???are they to much of a problem or do i need to talk to someone eles...

Weather wouldn't really effect an ITB setup anymore then a normal n/a setup really.

Tuning ITB setups is quick, it takes time to get everything right mechanically & electronically.

The dyno shop that I was taking too about my setup said there would be no problems to tune them once and forget about them. I live in the East Coast fog belt. You could possibly see all four seasons within 24hrs around here. I think you should look at taking your car to another tuner.

Not sure about your local tuners. Once you do find one that will work on your setup they should be able to tell you what software they are most comfortable with. That would be a good choice to go with. I know the tuner in my area stopped using Crome all together. He is now using eCtune for any of the chipped ECUs he tunes.

I tune with crome everyday it works just find but other programs work at a different level. hence you pay for what you get. but crome is the cheapest route if ur on a budget neptune and ectune charge an additional price on top of ur tuner
