Default Troubleshooting: Usage of Tunerview Version 1

I’m having some issues with my tunerview. This is the original that was replaced with the tunerview 2.

jdm p72 running Neptune chip.

The cable is pinned same colors in both sides as it calls for on HRTuning website.

Without the tunerview connected, the car will idle at a 14.5ish afr. Once I plug this in to the CN2 port, the tunerview works properly, but my idle begins to misfire and afr moves into the 15.5-16 range. Seems to only really give me a in issue at idle. Anyone have any knowledge of these things? I want to use it, but I haven’t been due to poor idle quality.

thanks.

Sounds like the tunerview is pulling enough power to pull down the ECU's internal 5v. Have you replaced the caps in the ECU?

no I haven’t. I do have my tuner replacing caps and socketing a p28 for me. So I’ll try that one and see if the issue persists after I get that ecu back. I. Currently running a jdm p72 that I believe has original caps in it. Thanks!

Also if that doesn’t fix it the tuner can mess a little with the injector voltage offsets to correct it as well.
