I need to be at- idle 670 +- 50, timing 16+- 2 but wen I set timing, idle is way too high about the 1000 range and when I set idle, timing is way too low about 5!!! I'm not to sure what the next move should b, anything helps, thanks!!

You need to follow the instructions on how to actually set ignition timing. That is not how you do it... Purchase a repair manual and it will guide you step by step.

I know you are begging to be spoon fed but you forgot about the part of disconnecting the IACV to bring the idle down. Set idle, set timing, check idle, and if idle needs to be adjusted recheck timing. Rinse and repeat if necessary. Also, using a factory gauge cluster is not recommended at all. They are usually off a couple hundred RPM. It is best to use a digital multimeter.

Google would have solved this whole thing man. Keyboard warriors and long time HT members never get along.

He actually did answer your question though. Just take the good and the bad and be thankful.

Unplug the IACV, adjust the TB screw for the idle, set at 750 with your multimeter (or 800~) Set timing at the dizzy by rotating to 16 degrees via timing light, done.

All the OP saw was the first sentence. He actually answered your question correctly.

Care to elaborate, what exactly is being probed here?

How do people own cars and not own a repair manual? I'm... flabbergasted.
Also I'm sorry for bumping this thread, I couldn't contain myself.
