the tps is prob. getting weak did u replace itwith a new one?stock honda voltage is
closed throttle 4.5
WOT 5 volts
what wires are u useing to test?prob the center wire of the tps plug.the one closet to the firewall is your ground.

im testing the right wires cause when i move the throttle my voltage goes up and down...

and btw there not alot of money there fairly cheap.and like i said before tps get weak being so old.what i mean by weak is the signal wire isnt reading what it should.ive seen them springs on the side that goes in the t/b get so weak u can move it with your \hand and it wont spring back like it should.

5.3 volts is way over 100% throttle. thats probably where your problem is.
set it to 4.5v WOT and see what happens. ive had that exact same problem where it triggers the cel only at high rpm. the problem was the tps voltage being too high, just like yours is now. and before you say "it was fine before" doesnt mean that it was right.
4.5v closed and 5v open? come on now. neither one of those values are correct lol

I'm having the same damn problem with my B18C SI (JDM spec cos i live in Asia).
I have no access to after market TP sensors cos i'd have to export them. Will try a few of the suggested tests. Last hope is to head to the halfcut shop and get a new TB hoping to get a good TPS.

well i tried to adjust my tps and it wont go lower than 15.01 at WOT and ive tryed 2 tps's!? the only way i could get it to read 4.5 at WOT is to mess with my throttle cable or try something else? i think the mechanism that moves the tps on my tb is adjustable too? ill check it out tho...
I can only give it a shot on my side of world this weekend. Probably on Saturday if possible if not i'll have to wait til weekend after next.
Does your throttle cable seize up, as in its hard to depress the accelerator sometimes? Cos it happens to me sometimes. I thought that might be a problem that is related to the TPS sensor.
Wait... you said at WOT its at 15.01?!?!?! Isn't that like way too much?
