stupid idea?
ok this is a kinda dumb thing to do but is it possible .
jack a car up , put it on axle stands , put it in gear and drive , 3rd gear lets say.
then use the brakes to load the engine up to map it, adjust cell by cell , applying more brakes for more load and work your way across the grid . obviously the brakes will need replaced afterwards but is it possible ?.

Drive the car on the street.
In addition to a car's brakes not being the right type for continuous loads like this, you won't get any feedback about how much power you're making. You'd have better results tuning at a dragstrip's test 'n' tune night.
lol, thanks , nah ive been street tuning a while and some times use the brakes to get the load sites that it passes over really quickly , but just wondered what other peoples thoughts were
The best explanation I have heard for the question "how should I drive my car when I'm tuning it" is drive it like you normally do. If you artificially load your car by applying brakes while driving or driving up super steep hills while you're tuning then it isn't really going to represent the normal driving situations you're going to encounter.
