Hi there,

I have a a chipped JDM P30 set up with Moates Demon 1. Problem is I get a solid CEL and the IACV making a buzzing noise when J1 is jumped. I can upload and verify maps to the Demon fine. Fuel pump primes. When I cut J1 there is no CEL so that rules out the ECU being faulty.

What do you guys think is?

I'd definitely just contact HRTuning via their website forum or PM him on here (forget his username). If this has anything to do with the Demon Board, he would be the right one to contact.

 

it's probably just a corrupted rom. start over with a new rom. if that doesn't fix it, make sure the demon battery isn't bad, make sure the headers are seated correctly, then try the demon in a different ecu to see if it follows the demon or stays with the ecu.

 

My IACV has always hummed when the Ecu is powered - with multiple EMS systems too. I dont think that is a related symptom.

 

most people don't tend to notice that unless their fuel pump isn't priming. however, if your rom or ECU is bad the IACV will pulse at a different rate causing a lower hum, which can be louder.
