Default solid cel on chipped ecu

Ok so i picked up an ecu that was already chipped, i plugged it and got a solid cel. so i noticed some things right away that needed to be fixed or added, i fixed those things and still get a solid cel. So i removed the jumper to revert it to stock, no more cel. So I fighure the cel is from something from how it is chipped. I just cant figure it out. I have a base map for my engine in it. The ecu is a p05-a02 with an 11f0-1500 board. everything is converted vetc and auto to manual. does anyone have any suggestions on what to check?

I was wanting to know if when you remove the jumper to convert back to the stock map will the changes you make to the board, as in vtec conversion and auto to manual, convert to stock or are they permanet changes to the board? like if they were what was improperly done would that make the cel go away when i pull the jumper?

You have a bad solder somewhere or a bad chip. When you remove j1 it goes back to reading the stock map. Once it's already been converted to manual even removing j1 would not affect it.

Yes j1 affects the conversion.

oh ok so like if you remove j1 and the cel goes away, it could possible be something with the vtec conversion. ok im gonna post a picture of my board on here later today and if anyone sees a problem with it lmk what you see and hopefully i can fix it.

When jumping j1 the ecu is no longer stock. With j1 removed it just goes back to its stock form. I would just take a soldering pin and go over all the soldering that was done.

Another thing could be the basemap is corrupt or not configured properly. Where did you get the basemap from?

I am going to bet that if it's not the chip. It is more than likely a cold joint or missing solder somewhere on the modded circuit.
