S100 problems
I got this problem, obd1 p30 ecu with the s100 hondata system, the car wont rev above 3000-3200, the Red led light comes on and stays on. It had a code 7 which is tps but the voltage sweep looks good. Any thoughts?
Checked the ECU's input for the tps looks good, can i take the s100 module out and just have xenocron burn a chip using crome for me? its a gsr with itr pistons, cams, ported head, shortram intake, butterflys removed intake mani. Thanks for the help
yeah solid check engine light, well Pherable is where im going to order the chip from then, I wont have to mess with anything right? I was looking inside the JDM ecu and it seems they removed the J4 for "improved communications" located near the CN4, will this effect operation? You have any basemaps for this setup? just want something that will run the motor, Live in Az with like 2500ft elevation if that matters with your tuning/basemap setups
OK, replaced the ecu with a obd2 non vtec sohc ecu, engine revs up just fine. Tach has also been doing some intermitent stuff working and sometimes not. with the new ecu it seems to be more solid and never drops out. The problem ecu is the p30 w/ s100. The LED is solid red, not sure what that indicates, but the car rev limits at like 3k ish then falls on its face, it was working fine before, sometimes if i cycle the key on and off while in limp home mode it will go past the 3k redline limit and hit vtec and run normal then after a few seconds fall on its face again. Something is keeping it in limp home mode, i ordered a new chip for it and im taking the s100 module out to see if that changes anything. I should check the ecu socket for good solid solder connections, can u guys think of anything else i should check?
