Default P2T-A11 JDM?

New to the forum and had a quick question I've been trying to find a definitive answer to all day. I got a used ECU to replace the poorly matched one the previous owner installed with a B16A2, and it's got me scratching my head. The ID number is P2t-A11, which to my understanding should be USDM, but the ECU is clearly meant for a right-hand drive car. So...what's going on here?

Use a left-handed screwdriver to remove the cover and look at the board.. lol! I'm really curious; what makes it a right-hand drive ECU?

The sides in relation to the plugs on which the fastener slots and rubber boots are cast. If you try and mount this ECU on a left-hand drive vehicle (far right), the plugs would point up instead of down. Observe the orientation in the photo.

Kinda hard to make a determination from this one picture However..It seems odd from this point. Looks to be square rather than rectangular, indicating a JDM ECU, but it's clearly a USDM part number. Interesting indeed. Do the harness plugs fit and it runs the engine?

It is a USDM ecu (they are a bit more of a square shape when compared to USDM obd1 ecus) & it will fit with the plugs pointing down, I no longer have my EM1 so I can't take a photo of it. You can pull the rubber boots off & put them on the other side, looks like someone moved the rubber boots to the opposite side for some reason. I also have two extra ecu's at home I can look at as well to confirm the orientation of the ecu.

In the middle of determining that. The previous owner put an Integra harness and ECU for a B18C1 engine on the B16A2 (along with a plethora of other messes I've had to correct), so without getting a proper harness, it's OBD2A. Which means I'm in the middle of

this fun nonsense to make the OBD2B ECU compatible.

Looks like that's the culprit. I didn't go trying to pull them off because it didn't cross my mind that they were removable. Rather, I expected to see a boot-shaped anchor underneath, not what turns out to be a reversible construction. I appreciate the bonk on the noggin.

I think you can simply remove the black rubber mounting isolators and re-install them on the opposite side of the ECU. Many times, people using an aftermarket engine harness (RyWire or Chase Bays) turn the ECU's over with the plug end facing up to meet a shorter harness, or worse yet, allow the slack of a LONG engine harness to "loop" past the ECU and back up to the plugs.

Yep, they popped right off like was suggested. Silly thing to overlook, but, well, it is what it is.
