Default P06 O2 sensor ground

Okay, so I want to use my Zeitronix wideband's narrowband sensor output to replace my age-old stock O2 sensor. The thing is, it's a 4-wire sensor, and the narrowband output on the wideband controller only supplys the input signal for the ECU, not the ground or the heater control. So, how should I go about doing this? I can take care of the heater issue with a resistor, but will the ECU throw a code if I don't supply a ground?

the ground is common with the power ground. as long as the output shows 0-1V it will be fine.
If you're tuning disable the O2 heater, no need for the resistor.

Alright, that's kinda what I suspected but wanted to clarify. I was also going to disable the O2 heater but i wasn't sure whether it would still throw a code if i just disconnected it. thanks
