p06 code 19(search doesnt use the 19)
i have a chipped p06 ecu running my h22. its running crome and hasnt had any issues for close to a year.
well (i doubt its related) i just had my car repainted and have had it for close to a week and driving back to work the other day from lunch, the engine kinda stuttered and threw a cel. blinking it shows code 19. automatic trans lockup solenoid or something like that...cars a 5 speed and has run fine for a year.
the ecu is the same and nothing has been changed to affect the electronics. going through the wiring and resetting the ecu a few times fixed it for most of the way to work today but it kicked back on before i got there. the idle is off but not a consistantly similar idle. sometimes it holds high and sometimes it bounces(think iac going bad) and other times its slightly low. sometimes vtec doesnt kick in. im guessing due to the cel being on...
im not sure if the p06 was converted or not and i dont know what to look for to check that...
any help will be greatly appreciated cause i want the car to be back to where it was before.

ps the code is always the same except for earlier today it showed solid(bad ecu) but it ran the same. that code hasnt popped up anymore but thats the only time it happened

A code 19 will appear when you are using an automatic ecu which has not been converted to 5 speed properly on a 5 speed vehicle.
Open the ecu, look at the bottom right near the chip, there will be a row of resistors.
Look for rp18 and rp17. rp17 should be gone and rp18 should be a 0hm jumper.
