OBD2a-OBD2b?
I have 2000 civic dx with a 97 spec JDM ITR engine and ecu... I had to use a conversion harness for the plugs to match the ecu...
I'm having so engine trouble and want to connect a obd2 scanner, but when I connect it, it's unable to connect to the ECU... Does the conversion harness have something to do with the scanner not being unable to connect to the ecu? Is there anything I can do for the scanner to connect?
I'm a noob to all this, as this is my 1st swap and am doing it all by myself, so any info would be greatly appreciated...

Obd1 ecus don't communicate with obd2 scanners.

I dont think they can communicate with jdm ecus can they?
I remember having connectivity issues with my old 98 jdm itr swap and our us spec obd2 readers...
maybe someone can clarify?
