OBD0 PM6 already chipped?
First off, I know almost nothing about the process for chipping an ECU. I did alot of research I decided that I would try since I had 2 PM6 ECU's to play with. Found that one is too old to be chipped. Did not have a 28 pin chip. So onto the next, PM6 from a '91 CRX Si. Opened it up then saw the "machined" chip holder, Not the ZIF. Sure enough I can remove the 28 pin chip with my puller. I thought I was gonna have to desolder the OEM 28 pin chip and install this machined chip holder thing. It all looks factory though. Did someone do a GREAT job at chipping this ECU before I got it, or Are some PM6 ECU's capable of pulling the chip from the factory like this?
Thanks
Nick

All PM6 ECU's that have the 28 pin style ROM chip are soldered directly to the PCB. If it has a 28 pin DIP / Machined socket, then someone has already installed it for you

HAMOTORSPORTS:
I just checked out your site. (very cool BTW) I saw the OBD0 - OBD1 P28 coversion and have questions.
1 - With the jumper harness do I need to change my OBD0 Dizzy and injectors etc..?
2 - Does this fit in an unmodified PR4 ECU "case"?
3 - This ones stupid but, This would allow me to run a hondata setup on the P28 board correct?
Thanks

1. Yes, the OBD1 ECU requires an OBD1 or OBD2 distributor to be used. You can leave your stock injectors and injector resistor intact if you'd like, or you can remove your resistor box and install standard OBD1 style injectors. As far as O2 sensor, you can leave your stock 1 wire O2 intact and we'll setup your chip to work properly with this instead of needing to install a 4 wire O2 sensor.
2. Yes, this is basically the same as our standard chipped P28 VTEC ECU except we use a reconditioned OBD1 PR4 case rather than the P28 case. It allows the ECU to bolt to the passenger side inner firewall/floorboard in the stock location with all 4 bolts like it does with the stock ECU. (Simply for a cleaner installation).
3. This will work with Hondata S100 and S200 as it uses a standard 28 pin ZIF saocket. However, if you'd like to use it with Hondata S300 we'd be more than happy to socket it for S300 instead of a standard 28 pin ZIF (S300 uses male style "pins" rather than the standard female style socket and regular chips).
.. Any other questions, just let me know
