Hello Honda-Tech,
I just finished installing a rebuilt OBD1 JDM B16A on a 1989 Honda CRX. The car has an OBD0 to OBD1 conversion harness and is running on a USDM P30 ECU. The ECU blinks its check engine codes even though I have not jumped the service wire to ground. I get one long blink, or a code 10 for IAT. I have done all I can to fix the sensor including running my own wires, and swapping sensors off a good car. Is the ECU giving off a code 10, or is it just blinking slowly? Also, the check engine light doesn't illuminate when the fuel pump primes upon ignition. The car runs great though, just doesn't hit VTEC. Anyone have a clue?

Make sure you don't have a short in the wiring/jumper harness on D4.
Pin D4 is the pin that gets grounded to check the codes...

Concerning your code 10, try another ecu once you resolve the D4 wiring issue.

 

I already check on that, I cut it off to right at the conversion harness to make sure it isn't getting grounded. Still it's trying to flash codes. I will try another ecu soon.

 

Anyone else have any idea?
