This is for a jdm h22. Well theres a little key looking medal thing that holds one of my pulley or cams that came off. The key looks like its broken off. Is it or its like that?

If you are talking abut the key or tab that holds the cam gear to the cam shaft, it should not be broken since it is what aligns the cam gear to the shaft. If it is not aligned right you will have serious timing problems.

 

I dont know if its that. Its kinda hard to explain but its like a pulley down near where the tensioner is at. Maybe ill take some pictures later.

 

Is it the key for the crank pulley?

 

I think so. Its like a little medal looking thing. Its about as big as a pinky. Just alittle bit smaller. lol

 

Keys for pulleys or gears are almost always removable. If it is removed you will see a square cut machined slot where the pulley mounts the the shaft.

Is this the gear and key you are talking about?

 

hmmm. Looks kinda weird. You got a picture from the top of the gear or while its on the car? Itll probably be easier?

 

It would probably be best if you posted a picture of the one you have.
