Default Need f22b tuning help.

I've only ever tuned b series motors and I tried a f22b on hondata s300 and its being alittle difficult. Now I have the af good about 11. 6-11.8 and once it gets up around 5500 rpms it just feels sluggish and it don't pull as hard. The af is still good but unsure about timing.

Can some tuning give me advice on timing on the f22b sohc vtec motors.

Completely stock f22b on 8psi
log manifold with 550 Injectors
50 trim turbo

Any help would be really helpful

Yeah I know how to read plugs but I figured out the problem... The motor only revs to 5500rpmthe and that where I felt it start dropping off.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm on my phone and ill have to check the timing map when I get home but I tried advancing and retarding the timing with no noticable power change. I figured out it's just the turbo being to small because when I upped the boost it pulled harder past 5500 rpms. I checked the plugs and there's no signs of detnatsion on the plugs and there dark brown which is what I like on stock motors.

I was going to say 5500 rpm is a bit low for a boosted F22. I was just tuning/playing around with my stock internal F22B2 and it pulled up to 6200 easily.

Glad you found the issue and it's a pretty simple fix. Now it's time to get a bigger turbo and upgrade the cam. Then you will see what that thing can do on a stock bottom end.
