Default What should I set my timing at? spark plug gap? feels like it's dying in the higher rpm's

Here's the set-up :

-GSR block, crank
-Stock b16a head
-81mm Mahle pistons
-Eagle rods
-Garret 57 trim t3/t4 turbo
-custom ramhorn manifold
-Turbo smart wastegate 38mm sleeper series
-RC 550cc inj.
-Walbro 255lph pump
-b16a tranny w/ LSD
-Greddy type rs bov
-street tuned @14psi on crome

I took it to the track and with a slipping clutch ran a 13.9 @115mph.

The thing is that I noticed was it felt like it had no power past 6300-8000 rpm, kinda hesitant a little.
Could it possibly be the stock b16 cams that are hurting, or the timing set at 16deg. plugs are at .028
Should i set my timing a bit more retarded and open the gap on the plugs to .032 to get the extra spark??
Any help much appreciated..

close the gap on the plugs if anything. try .024 or so.

is your air fuel ratio between 10.5 and 12.0? if it is then pull one to 2 degrees of timing till u can get to a dyno. sounds like its misfiring a lil, either from too much timing or spark knock

I just checked the gap on the plugs again and they're at .030 and the timing was at the middle mark ( I think thats 16deg..)

So I should lower the gap on the plugs?.. and with the timing should i retard the timing or advance it a tad bit?

retarding the timing is moving the distributer towards the firewall right? and advance away? It's been awhile...trying to remember which way to move it.
