I'm not able to get the V2 driver onto my Lenovo G560 with Windows 7. I've read around on the other stuff that has been posted but I'm still stuck. I have reinstalled several times. I have tried updating while hooked up with the ECU and keep getting an error code. Device Manager doesn't even see it. It's not listed in troubleshooting and I am at wit's end.
Some help if you would please.

If this doesn't work for you, manually download the driver: http://hondata.com/updates/S300Drivers.exe
Then manually assign the driver on your laptop: Manual USB Driver Installation (Windows Vista / 7 / 8)

Many thanks to you for taking the time to respond.
I am beginning to wonder if some of the fault may lie with my own laptop, that perhaps there is a wooly booger inside that doesn't want me to read my ECU.
I downloaded the V2.3.7, rebooting before and after, stayed hooked up to the ECU (key off) in case that might be of any help. The message on the screen said, "Driver installed" but I got the same balloon saying, "No it ain't either", Device Manager still doesn't recognize it, and I got the same error box when I tried to update (key on).
Don't know what but to keep trying the reinstall thing. Have two "might work" answers from some friends who are more knowledgeable than I.

Works fine on my W7 Lenovo. Try to connect to another S300, just to rule out a defective one. Additionally, change the com port in device manager to one that isn't used in the list, the restart and it should connect. And um... make sure you have the ignition on. V2 doesn't connect without ECU power.

This has gotten strange. I feel like I'm in the lead role of a stage play in theatre of the absurd. The short version is this: I had fuel and fire and was ready to start this thing. Then all of a sudden I don't have fuel or fire. There is only one place where those two are in the same neighborhood. That got the original question going as I wanted to take a peek and get any error codes. I checked the cable and it works fine on my printer. I used a test light to see if there was power at the relay that was wired in with the installation. All is hot. I checked the manual for ECU troubleshooting and it was no help for this. Now I'm stumped. This car should be running, but instead I've got something that I simply cannot figure out what has happened to cause it.

Some history here.
This project is a 91 Civic Si with a Z6 top end.
The Hondata s300 was installed because the factory ECU was bad and support was needed for the VTEC conversion. I bought into the car because I had a little money and the kid who started the project ran out of greenbacks. I drove the car for about 4k miles and everything worked. Trouble came quickly and I had to rebuild the top end. I stayed away from the ECU until the last minute and only took a look because I had to identify the wires for the VTEC. I was very careful to say the least, but now this crap has happened.
During the mechanical phase I paid a local machinist to cut what I needed to mount a vacuum gauge on the end of the manifold and a fuel pressure gauge on the end of the rail. That fuel pressure gauge earned its keep right away, showing me that the pump was no longer coming on. I had a timing light hooked up and it was no longer showing fire. Both of these happened at the same time.
That brings us to my last post where I have no contact with the s300. It has power at the relay and the cord is good.
And yes, there is an injector resistor.

Is there any way I can test the ECU to see if it's okay?
I'm limited to a test light and an ohm meter.
Would a battery booster hurt it?
All fuses are intact.
