Default Moates Demon.... Freeware

I just purchased a Moates Demon board and Im trying to use a downloadable program to run it in my converted P06.

I intend to use one of the running paid programs such as the Neptune, which is the only thing I was able to "connect" and at least build a map but the "registration" thing threw me for a loop when I found out the free one wont get you going....unless u throw up 175 for a key...

the next thing I did was after months of sitting boxed up as junk I got a windows laptop with XP on it and downladed the Crome.. . FAILED... the crome flashes up and drop dead... not sure what the problems is but I have dug in after the windows make me sick in general. . but I will probably keep it beca the ECtune loaded up but i didnt try it

SO to end this post I want to find the guys who is running the Demon board with chipped ecu and what freeware the used to at least get the car to run.

Read up on the crome user guide in this forum. I am sure thats your best bet for free. You have to set baud rates, com ports ect. Dont hit "DETECT CONNECTION". Also there is video setup guides on youtube.

So sorry Delete... i went aheand and purchased the Neptune RTL. No more worries I hope still waiitng on the key code to open up the DEmon..

all that setting comports and baud rates is ridiculous in this day and time when we have macs and the app out here... I hope the tuning enviroment learn that this is the way we should go and throw windows and there proprietors to the side totally

You are in for a surprise if you expect plug and play in tuning with engine management. Even the most polished software requires some level of competence.
