limp mode while logging
I was logging my d16z6 p28 with freelog through hulog xtreme. No rtp. Suddenly, after altering a few cmd codes from stock, trying to get my rpms to show correctly, I wind up in limp mode. Turn off and on twice, and no change. Third time, I get a clean crank, the cel light flashes and then stays on and Im limping again. Cut j1, and no problems. The only thing I did to the car was rev in park. Any ideas why this happened? Also, does anyone have opinions on uberdata? Freelog is giving me funky readings.
Edit: Forgot to mention that when it was flashing the cel, the ignition switch was clicking.

uberdata has just as many bugs. the limp mode was unrelated, you can't hurt an ecu by changing freelog protocol. I'm willing to bet you have a bad solder point in your chip section or the chip was either improperly programmed or is bad.
OR, since you were having trouble reading your RPM, you may just have a bad sensor/wiring at the distributor (or you fried the ecu from a bad chip job). sometimes it takes a little before it throws you in limp mode.
