Default J's racing ecu

Hey every1 I have a J's ecu on my b16 lsv set up that I might be getting rid of, any idea of what I should let it go for, paid 1000 almost a year ago.

Ya, I felt bad so I didn't want to tell him it's worth the same as a regular chipped ECU. :-x

The same ecu you paid $1,000 for is worth around $200 max.

Just because it's a J's racing ecu, doesn't mean anything. In fact the program on the ecu will likely perform worse then let's say one of our custom phearable.net basemaps due to the fact that J's Racing, Spoon & mugen programs are usually overloaded with unnecessary fuel etc.

Hell, even a brand new unit from Honda at retail price is around $700, add $50-100 to socket/chip and you're still way under a G!

actually, a j's ecu is over $1000 bucks. here is the catalog. just take off the last two zeros to roughly convert to USD. it is actually over $1000. i wouldnt pay it, but thats how much they really are retail

Yup, that's what they charge... but he asked how much it's worth. On the open market it certainly isn't.

haha, i knew my boys were *** holes but i didnt think they were that bad, it was new when i got it and i saw some going to 1300 so i didnt think it was too bad. yea i was looking to see what i could get now. thanks kels
