Default ITB Tools Settings Thread

alright so im not sure how many people out there are running ITBs on crome
but im having a hard time getting throttle transitions smooth. trying to hold
a constant speed is impossible it either wants acceleration or it gets really
jerky and I can see with the wideband that it is cutting the injectors as soon
as you back your foot off the throttle a hair.

The car idles great at 1000, sitting at low 3xx mbar. light throttle accel
i am seeing around 8-900 mbar. oh and on freelog when I floor it I only see
the TPS value go to 60 and when I let off it doesnt drop right back down to
zero instantly, is this normal? stuff like letting out the clutch without touching
the throttle is super smooth, but even light throttle accel after the clutch is out
causes a quick sputter.

any care to share their settings?
im interested in the MAP > TPS
and the TPS > TPS values.

also if you want to share the column headings that worked good for you that would
help also.

Just out of curiosity, have you tried adding timing at lower TPS values, or switching back to map tables at a different TPS value??

I haven't touched the timing other than trying to smooth out a couple bits that had aggresive jumps. Im not sure If i should try to get the low load/cruising to run off the MAP or TPS part of the map. Right now it switches to the TPS at 10% and i think it switches back at the same point

At what TPS % does your MAP show atmospheric pressure aka no vacuum? (sea level approx. 1013.** mbar, 29.5 inHg, 101kPa)

Have you tried using the MAP threshold crossover to TPS @ that point? (980-1014 mbar)

im not sure the specific percent but its pretty low. probably around 20-25

I do have my MAP threshold crossover at about 1000 mbar, should i raise the TPS cross over
and just let the MAP crossover kick in?

Luckily I have tonight off work so when I get home from school I have some time to experiment some more.
I think I will leave the map crossover at 1000 and keep adjusting the TPS crossover by 2% at a time
until throttle transitions are smooth. Should cruising (steady speed) be run off the MAP part of the fuel map or the TPS area?

its kind of a pain doing this crap by myself, Ghost would you care to move to Manitoba?

I would say if your MAP crossover is set at 1000mbar your going to be cruising using your MAP tables. Your going to have to datalog and find out where your TPS is in relation to your cruising speed and MAP.

Here is one of my data log files (F22B2 single throttle body)
RPM - 2729
Speed - 120 km/h
MAP - 610 mbar
TPS - 23%

So if I wanted to have my cruising to run off the MAP table I would use 1000mbar and 30% TPS.

I may be heading out to Regina next summer. Only a couple hours away......lol
