i have a 94 civic dx with 173k on it and the idle surges going up and down... i have no clue what it is but when i unplug the sensors on the throttle body then plug them back in its fine again.. any help would be great thanks

 

Sounds like an air leak. Check all your vacuum lines and double check the TB gasket.

 

Check the fast idle thermo valve. fitv (search)

 

vac leak.. maybe bubble in coolant.

 

Sounds like you are getting erratic readings from the sensors. Check the signal voltages and make sure they are consistant.
