Hey you-all, I’m building a b16 for my mini pickup. I finished the motor and this is my first turbocharged motor. I have the catch can lines from the rear of the block. Do I need to run lines from the valve cover?

Any help would be a great.

This really depends on how much boost and ultimately how much blow-by will occur. Ring gaps and piston to wall clearance will also contribute to this. Check out the catch can sticky in the forced induction section it can be a lengthy but explains the different types of catch can setups.

 

This is my first turbocharged build. I hope I gapped the rings correctly. I went by the CP instructions. Seems a little tight to me but I guess I will see.

ring gap on a turbo b series should be about 0.016”-0.018” for a mild turbo build.
