It is likely that the s300 ecu you plugged in didn't have a calibration uploaded to it for your engine application.

Did you connect a laptop to the s300 system & upload a tune to it?

It sounds like the issue is the vehicle's wiring or obd2 to obd1 ecu jumper harness you are using.

Is the check engine light on while running the obd1 ecu?
If so, what codes are being thrown?

Are your fuel injectors and dizzy obd2? Running a jumper harness to a obd1 ecu still having obd2 parts on the motor will not run right.

yes this is completely wrong. I know this for a fact. I'm running obd2 dizzy and alternator and obd1 injectors in my obd1 civic. no problem. s300 hooked up too. works fine.

Im having a similar problem only thing is that i have a hondata s300 already in my car nd for some reason my car doesnt wanna start now. The car cranks nd everything it just wont start. Usually there is a green light by the usb port on the ecu, but now blinking red. I tried using my boys stock b16 ecu nd jumped my car, it turned on but as soon as i took the jumper cables out tge car shut off. Anyone know what can be the problem?
