Default head gasket changing

i have a D15B block in my honda and i believe the head is a b16? i really dont know but the shop i took it too said that it was.
so my question is, when a put the head gasket on do i go with the block? or head?
the place i went too put the 1.6 valvue seals in the head and used the head gasket from that kit and i blew my head gasket.. so thats obviously not right.
so another question, should a change all the seals they put on the block? or will they be fine as the 1.6 seal kit?

i dont know much.. so please help me

You need to find out what head you have. Its not a b16, did you mean d16?

I can't help you directly however I can help point you in the right direction. This particular sub forum is for Engine management & tuning questions or information. In my opinion you would probably have better luck posting this question in the Civic sub forum.
