Ah, I dont know that I have anything on this pc, but I will check and see if Claudio or Eric has anything OBD2 related. On the obd1 distributor setup, we use the 24 tooth wheel for the trigger and the 1 tooth wheel for the home signal.
The settings on my f22a are

Trigger Angle BTDC 50
Tooth Offset of 9

I dont think those will work with your setup honestly, but its worth a shot. Also, I will look and see what I can find. This setup also worked for starting up my d15, which is also obd1 however.

AFAIK, 92-95 and 96-00/01 distributors have a common wheel setup. There are minor offsets in angles to (presumably) account for different cam degree angles, etc. The OBD1 settings should work find for OBD2.

yeah i would expect them to be the same since you can de-pin distributors when doing swaps and change nothing else. i dont know, i think im just going to drive my car with a basemap on a p06 to a tuner and let them worry about all that stuff. its just that i like to do as much of the work as possible

Who are you going to/did you go to for your tune? Everything work out well?

Hopefully we can get an obdII car in here to test things. Of course, a jumper harness would probably work as well with this. Ill talk to the guys in the office about it all as well.

the motor is going in this weekend, hopefully ittle be started on sunday running off my chipped obd1 ecu. i already have my haltech harness divided and taped into sections. im going to have manuel i think is his name at tbk performance install and tune it. i havnt figured out how to get the one black wire (ground) in the e6x harness to tap into all the other sensor grounds using the jumper harness alone

Sweet, manuel is a very very nice guy, and very knowledgeable. Tell him Mike from Haltech said hello when you go in.

The sensor ground is shared by a number of the sensors in the car, you just have to share them.

I've tuned Haltech on a turbo IS300. Nice system. Nice to see another pnp option for the Honda

Did you tune one of Mo from SRT's kits? Which ecu was it?

I can't wait to get this thing out on the market.

We have come a looooong way from what a lot of people remember when we were in Texas and California.

Connector's have been sourced. Only a matter of time before we start production now. We are also looking into an OBD-II plug in as well.

Finally, connectors should be on their way.

I have just purchased a haltech e6k unit that i will be using on my turbo b series. The car is obd1 and i would like to puchase a harness for it but cannot find one. Im leaning toward one of the haltech universal harnesses that you attach the sensors onto yourself. any info would be appreciated

Unfortunately, the E6K is one of our older units. The modern equivalent is the E6X, and while we do not sell the E6K harness anymore, you can use an E6X harness, and change a few pins around. If you would like more info on this, email claudio@haltech.com (he handles all tech support for our legacy units) or check the haltech forums, as there is a post there that explains the de-pinning procedure.

Best of luck, and sorry for the delay in correspondence, as I was out of the office due to having drill with my national guard unit.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by BRN12345 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">So my advice is that you should come out with a PNP ecu for the 2006+ K series honda's. No ECU to date has the ability to control the K series Honda engine due to requirement of drive-by-wire throttle, multi dimensional maps (VTEC + Cam phase). Haltech has made a wonderful product in the new Platinum series ECU... if such an ECU can be adapted for the K series engine, i think Haltech would have a super winner on their hands... if you think about it, only Hondata has been able to tap into the K market and after 2006+ they cant even do that without swapping half the motor and wiring out.</TD></TR></TABLE>

MoTeC has the ability to control DBW and I do know that Hondata has tuned 06+ cars with DBW. Where he stands on the release of that version, I don't know.

To the OP, I would not be targeting people that are interested in the MoTeC M4 kit. I would be targeting those that go after the AEM unit. Most people that look at the M4 kit, realize that they will tap it out too quickly and upgrade to the M400 setup.

You find those connectors yet for the OBD1, OBD2 setups? I have a couple thousand in my office at the house if you get lost in your search.

We have found them, one of our distrbutors was out for a while due to some races and such, so that presented us with a delay. Send me an email if you do not mind though with some specifics and some pricing on those, as we are always looking to save where we can.

My email is mike@haltech.com

Thanks!

Also, we just hope to get into the niche that wants a standalone, doesn't necessarily want an aem, but cannot afford the mtoec either. Both, and all units have their strengths and weaknesses, and while I obviously have my opinions about them, I know that nothing is perfect.

I do believe that we will be doing drive by wire control in the near future, and look for some big announcements from us come SEMA. If anyone will be there, we will be booth 20951 this year, stop and say hi.

I replied to your email I do believe.

It is generally set to Constant Charge, 3-4 MS, and Spark Edge Rising for Honda stuff.
