i recently bought a eg hatch with h23a swap and i cant figure out what is wrong with it. the car takes sometime to turnover and idles at 1100 rpm if i hit the gas on idle it goes up then drops and back to 1100rpm it also gets really hot but i didnt notice the temp gauge is stuck at operating temp so i have no way to know when its overheating i thought something was wrong with the motor itself but i did a compression test and got 225 all across but something isnt right and i cant figure it out the car runs fine when driven normal but at high rpms it doesnt run smooth sounds hesitant and under alot of stress and dont hear vtec come on i also hear a little hissing when i accelerate so maybe it could be a vaccum leak from the intake manifold? it has a sticky throttle body ? could it be the ecu ?
