H22A Computer Problems, AEM a fix?
I just had a JDM engine swap done on my car and now the Top Dead Center code keeps going off which puts a rev limiter on the engine making it pretty much impossible to drive. My question is if I put in one of the stand alone AEM modules will I be able to bypass the TDC code when it goes off? I have gone through all the wires and sensors and can't find anything wrong.. also I have had my local Honda dealership check the car out and they told me that the engine has too much end play on the crankshaft. I assumed they were just blowing me off so I brought the car to another shop to check the end play and as I figured they informed me it was fine. Unfortunately, that puts me back to square one..
Have you tried to replace the distributor yet?
That would be the first thing to do as the TDC code is pretty common on the H22 motors, unfortunately.

You would spend far more money on AEM ignition components along with a standalone & tuning just for a TDC code.
Do your self a favor & find a honda/acura specialist that knows what they are doing.
Look at ectune.com hrtuning.com and hondata.com's dealer lists.

As stated above, try replacing/ swapping out the distributor. You may not be able to visually tell if the TDC sensor is bad. Also, even with the AEM standalone you ideally still 'need' the TDC sensor...
