Ecu problems. please help

Default Ecu problems. please help

have a 93 civic ex and its running on a p06 ecu. it runs ok but kinda rich and when i start it it revs high. so i bought a p28 from craigslist plugged it up and it ran like ****! i mean really bad like it was miss firing and sputtering and when the vtec kicked in it started back firing bad. please help. any ideas will be helpful!

The p28 i bought of craigslist. i just txt the guy i bought it from if it was chipped. is there any way i can tell on my own?

Take the lid off and see if it has these components in the bottom right hand corner.

If it is indeed chipped.. you can cut the jumper at J1 and it will revert it back to a stock P28 and will not run off the chip.

The owner said it wasnt chipped. It is missing the middle screw to the lid. could that be a ground? also the prev. owner said he didnt change the timming at all. I will begoing to the shop tommrow so ill keep yall updated. and thanks again!

anybody know if this is the right ecu for a stock 93 manual civic ex? or will it work? the code is 37820-p28-l01 762-200981? thanks ahead of time

Yes, that is a manual D16z6 ecu.
