That's where the miscommunication is. You don't need the RTP to get professionally tuned with NepTune, which is what you said you planned on.

Same with ectune, a tuner will burn you a chip so the $175 ostrich isn't needed

Given how long they kept the mass public from Neptune (I veiwed it as hype), then put big restrictions on regional tuner locations, I'll definately never use Neptune myself. I'm not a fan of driving through 2 other states just to get tuned. As it stands, I've never met someone running Neptune (RTP or otherwise) in a Honda in my state, despite seeing all sorts of other much more rare/expensive systems used. Its just as capible as eCtune, however, as both systems had the same developemental goals.

oh k, i thought neptune rtp was teh only neptune system out there. any advantages of having the RTP vs the regular neptune? and can anyone recomend a tuner in So Cal close to LA that tunes and burns chips for eitehr one of those? looked at the tuner directory but didnt find any

NepTune RTP allows you to make your own adjustments or tune yourself. The regular version can only be tuned by your authorized tuner.

oh cool, so its like crome or ectune style where its info burned onto a chip (not a preset chip thast programable like hondata) then placed into your ecu? cool
