Ectune vs. Hondata
I have a fully built GSR with S200 but I keep hearing things about Ectune. I'm not sure if I should send my S200 in to add the boost option or just buy Ectune. If anyone has any insight into which method is better I'd greatly appreciate the info.
I have ectune and I am preety happy with it. After you get everything down loaded, the actual tunning is very user friendly. It to me all of 10 seconds to make a basemap for my car and it started right up. Again it is very very user friendley with great support forums.
so there is no s200 ? let me ask you this im the kind of person ones the car is tuned i dont mesh with it by hooking my laptop to the ecu or anything is that going to be a issue.
There's still people who will tune the s200, but why invest $200 on a discontinued product.
Sell the s200. Get your setup tuned by an authorized NepTune or eCtune dealer. Boost is included in the license package and the license is less than it will cost you to upgrade your s200.

no, as of now im breaking the motor in on a stock obd1 gsr ecu. after the break in i was going to take it to a tuner and have them add the boost on the s200 and put it on the dyno to have tuned that was my plan. but friends have been telling me about ectune so thats were im at now.askin all of you . thanks alot so far for all the help.
I didn't fail to mention that. It was very clear he's not tuning it himself or toying with it. The s300 is not a healthy option for his situation. Neither is the NepTune RTP, which I also left out. If he was staying NA I'd have told him to keep the s200.

Glad you guys are paying attention, though. Nice to see you.
Find a local dyno tuner that has a good amount of experience.
Have the car tuned on what ever engine management he recommends for your needs.
Hondata, Neptune, eCtune are the best on the market.
