Does having your A/C on affect your tune?
Hi team,
Random question.
My car has a basic allmotor setup with I/H/E tuned on Crome.
We all know the A/C affects power as it's driven off the crank. But my big question is does it affect your tune? As with the A/C on there is more load? The reason i ask is with my A/C on in light to medium throttle i can hear some minor detonation/pinging but when A/C is off there is no pinging.
Please advise thanks.

The only change it should need to make is to raise the idle a touch so that the car doesn't stall
There is no difference in air flow across the engine, so you fuel and timing requirements should not need to change

A logical guess would be that the portion of the map that it is going to from the load difference of the A/C isn't tuned worth a crap. Sounds like a sub par tune.
