does anyone know what chip socket this is for?
i bought this on this forum and im not sure what the original user used?
crome or something else?
can someone tell me what is used on this ecu?
also is the gray wire supposed to be attached?
if it is what is it supposed to be soldered to?
i got it that way.
the green and white wire is soldered to the board.
also i didnt get a chip, was i supposed to get one?
this is a P06 ecu.

If you are running a Moates Ostrich a ZIF socket can be kind of a PITA. You will have to remove part of the ribbon connector for the locking arm to rotate. I use a low profile socket when using an Ostrich.
As for the loose wire. If I remember correctly, it should be soldered to pin No. 4 of the CN2 circuit.
